New 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor coming with 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque!

Is there a more hotly-anticipated truck than the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor? Maybe the Jeep Wrangler Pickup, but not by much, if anything. The last Raptor was loved by many, and the new one looks promising, though some are worried about the fact that it’s ditching its V8 for a twin-turbo V6. However, a new rumor squashes those fears.
The new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is coming for performance enthusiasts. Considering that the model will be down two cylinders from conventional car logic (twin-turbocharged V-6 vs. V-8), enthusiasts have been wringing their hands waiting for the final figures. The thing we are sure about is that the Raptor’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine will generate 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. That’s 39 horsepower and 76 pound-feet of torque more than the outgoing generation’s 6.2-liter V8. A similar 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine can be found in the new Ford F-150 where it makes 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, making Raptor’s leaked figures believable.
