In September 2016, 67,809 units of F-Series pickup trucks were sold with a year-over-year (or YoY) decline of 2.6%. Despite this fall, the company posted its best YTD (year-to-date) F-Series retail sales in September. As you know, the F-150 is a full-size pickup truck. The significance of these trucks is immense for Ford, as trucks typically yield higher profitability than the Small Car segment.
