Volkswagen's recall plan gets rejected!: The Volkswagen's proposed recall plan was rejected this week by California's Chief Regulator. We all know about the huge scandal will fuel-emissions of the company and the huge settlement it has to pay to the owners and government to cover the damage it created.
VW has managed to compose a whole plan on how to fix 16,000 3.0 liter diesel VW,Audi and Porsche models, all of them being equipped with devices designed to cheat emissions tests. The plan was insufficient, that's what Air Resources Board commented on this issue. On a letter CARB says that VW and Audi's submissions are incomplete, which means they fall for short of meeting the legal requirements to return these vehicles to the claimed certified configuration. Until December no one will have a correct answer on whether the 3.0 liter fix would work for all of the diesel vehicles. The vehicles include even the well known models: Audi A8, Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg. The company says it will continue to work on securing approval of a technical resolution.
