June Auto Sales Keep It Up Thanks To SUV's and Pickups.

June Auto Sales Keep It Up Thanks To SUV's and Pickups.Isn't this year a good one for U.S auto sales? Well, even if many surveys and predictions put the industry under the question “will it work this time”, it seems like we are halfway to another record year. As the first half of the year has finished we've come to get some positive results, the 2016 auto sales are up 1.4% from a year ago. Isn't it a sign that the market is reaching a plateau after rebounding from the depths of recession with six consecutive years of hefty growth?

It's important to notice that considering all the negative expectations every year over year increase is good news. What do we know about Chevrolet and how were things going with the company this month? Well, it posted a 0,1% gain which is better than Hyundai's results because it rose only 0.01%, but even that is great as long as it didn't get losses. As you probably already know the demand for pickups and SUV's is in growth, and we can totally say that this June was their month. Ford has always felt the importance of SUV's and pickups because F-series pickups surged to 29%, making a 0.8% decline for the rest of its lineup. We were highly expecting to see how General Motors and Toyota U.S.A. but both posted their fourth monthly decline of the year. At GMlifted trucks slid 1.7%, and cars were down 1.3%. While Toyota's light truck sales rose 0.1% amid tight pickup inventories, Toyota topped Fiat Chrysler Automobiles by only 243 vehicles. What can we say about FCA?! Its Jeep Ram sales rose up 14%.
