Koenigsegg Agera RS crowned as the fastest car in the world?: We all remember to well when Koenigsegg broke the 0-400-0 record, but this was nothing comparing to its latest record. Koenigsegg has now bagged the speed record to rule them all. Yep, it looks like the Agera RS is now the world’s fastest production car.



Details are limited at this stage (the Swedish supercar firm is promising more information in due course), but we do know that the 277.9mph figure is an average taken from two runs, which means this will qualify for a Guinness World Record. A record achieved comfortably - the RS went over 10mph faster than the current holder, the Bugatti Veyron Supersport.
