Design-wise, there isn’t much to talk about the 2018 Mercedes S-Class. But under the bonnet there is a new V-8 biturbo petrol engine as well as new six-cylinder petrol and diesel units. There are also plans for a plug-in hybrid with an electric range of about 50 kilometres to be relased later. As for the technology features, the approach is toward autonomy with features such as DISTRONIC Active Proximity Control and Active Steer Assist. Besides the regular 2018Mercedes S-Class, Auto Shanghai also saw the debut of the new Mercedes-AMG S63 4MATIC and S65 models.
