U.S. dealerships forget about the importance of data security!: After a survey a huge revelation was made, dealerships are vulnerable to cyberattacks which might bring to putting in danger the personal information of customers. The study shows that after such attacks the possibility of a buyer to come back again is close to minimum, also this lost data would prove an immediate business threat to dealerships.
A firm from New York surveyed 200 dealerships in five states, in order to show the importance of security. After the client realizes his data got compromised he would never buy something from here again, that's what 84% of the respondents answered. Also it was found out that 33% of consumers consider security one of the most important things in buying a vehicle, and it's one of the reason they would buy a vehicle from a dealership they can trust, and not from others.
