New Car Sales Drop 15.7 Percent in March

New car registration figures for March reveal a sharp drop in sales. The number of sales is 15.7 percent lower compared to the same month last year.

A big part of that fall is due to bumper sales in March 2017, as drivers flooded the dealers to beat the then-new road tax system. The old tax model based on carbon dioxide was favorable to diesel cars. That’s because diesel-powered cars emit lesser CO2 than their petrol counterparts. That explains in a way diesel’s decline, with a 37.2 percent fall in sales last month, compared to a fall of 23,5 percent in February.

The hatchback version of the Impreza allowed me to down size from a larger sport utility vehicle without any significant loss in utility. The few negatives about the car are easy to overlook due to the excellent gas mileage it gets for an AWD car and the very reasonable purchase price. If you compare it to others in the same class you will find it is definitely one of the "Best for Bucks" out there.

  The car has low miles and is fully serviced! Subaru's are renowned for their safety and reliability. This car is an AWD so it is absolutely terrific in the snow. It also has a rear spoiler, which perfects the sporty look of the car. I also upgraded the sound system to a Pioneer stereo receiver with speakers and tweeters. There is a USB and AUX input to connect your iPod or any other MP3 player. Overall, the car is in great condition. I have driven this car for the past 6 years and had no major problems at all. The only reason I'm selling it is to upgrade to a newer Subaru. Recent Maintenance -drive belt replaced 3 months ago -oil change last week.
