BMW announced that sales of BMW X models made in Spartanburg County helped boost the total number of BMW brand vehicles sold in January. BMW North America President and CEO Ludwig Willisch claims that the increased availability of the highly popular BMW X models is paying off as X model U.S. sales in January topped the all-important 50 percent mark for the second month in a row.
He also added that the company is very much looking forward to the launch of its brilliant next generation 5 Series. BMW North America reported sales of BMW brand vehicles increased 0.1 percent in January for a total of 18,109, compared to 18,082 vehicles sold in January 2016. Notable vehicle sales in January included the BMW X1, which increased 21.4 percent; the BMW X3, which increased 57.5 percent; and the BMW X5, which increased 26.8 percent. Read more
