These are the vehicles that have won the trust of many customers: The Toyota Tacoma double cab, Tacoma access cab,Chevrolet Colorado crew cab and GMC Canyon.

The Colorado and Canyon extended cab both earned “acceptable” marks, while the Nissan Frontierking cab and crew cab — the oldest vehicles tested — earned “marginal” ratings. IIHS said it tested two body styles of each pickup because results can differ between cab designs.

TVR' V8 sports car unveiled at the Goodwood Revival: We know about the rumors that TVR’s coupe would feature a V8 with an output of 480bhp, but we had no idea its first prototype would be ready this soon. Unveiled at the Goodwood Revival, the tiny sports car reminds us of a Ginetta in its proportions, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.



Under the bonnet is a Ford 5.0-litre quad-cam V8 taken from the Mustang, and it links to a six-speed Tremec gearbox. The body of the test mule, rendered here in an older image that was released to the general media, is carbonfibre for lightness and a reduced centre of gravity. Inner carbonfibre panels will be bonded to a steel frame to offer massive rigidity and crash safety.

Average fuel economy down in August: The average fuel economy of new cars and light trucks sold in the U.S. this August was 24.3mpg, down 0.1 mpg from July. Average fuel economy is up 5.2 mpg since October 2007, the first month researchers Michael Sivak and Brandon Schoettle monitored the market, but down 0.2 mpg from the peak of 25.5 mpg reached in August 2014.



Year-over-year U.S. light-vehicle sales slid 1.8 percent in August, with car deliveries descending 9.5 percent. Across the light-truck segment, pickup and crossover sales rose last month, 3.7 percent and 4.8 percent. Total light-truck sales gained 2.9 percent. The rise in average fuel economy occurred alongside an uptick in the price of gasoline. The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline Wednesday was $2.661, up from $2.199 a year ago.

The tuning process starts with more capacity. The V12 has been bored and stroked to 6.3 litres, with a special Brabus billet steel crankshaft and con-rod set. The exhaust manifolds are new, the new turbochargers are larger and there’s a free-breathing exhaust system making all the noise.
